Offset or flexography
| Offset | Flexography | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost-effective run | 1,000–50,000 pcs | from 100,000 pcs |
| Quality | close to photographic | simpler: large elements, solid colours |
| Gradients and photos | yes | limited |
| Fine text and thin lines | sharp | may blur |
| Price per cup | good on small and medium runs | cheaper on very large runs |
We use both methods and offer the one that is cheaper for your run. For most coffee shops, restaurants and brands that is offset: you can order 1,000–5,000 cups with high-quality printing without tying up money in a huge batch.
What can be printed
- Your logo and brand colours.
- A pattern or illustration all around the cup.
- A photo, gradient, QR code, address and Instagram handle.
- A volume mark — for example, 300 ml on a 350 ml cup.
How an order works
- Send your logo as a vector file (AI, EPS or outlined PDF) and the quantity.
- We prepare the layout on the cup template and approve it with you.
- Optionally — a colour proof to check colours before the run (ask a manager about the cost).
- Printing and production — about 2 weeks; rush orders 7 days at extra cost.
- Delivery in Almaty or shipping to another city.
Safety
We print with water-based inks that are permitted for food packaging. Our food safety management system is FSSC 22000 certified — Klassika was the first company in Kazakhstan to pass this audit.
Price
The printing price depends on the quantity, cup size and artwork. The minimum run is 1,000 cups; 100–200 cups can be ordered, but at the price of a 1,000 run. Send us your logo and quantity — we will quote printed cups and advise whether offset or flexography is cheaper. See also: paper cups, cups for coffee shops, custom cup sleeves.
Questions and answers
Why is offset printing better than flexography?
Offset gives almost photographic quality — fine text, gradients, photos — and pays off on runs of 1,000 to 50,000 pieces. Flexography is cheaper only on very large runs from 100,000 pieces and is simpler in quality.
What is the minimum run for offset-printed cups?
1,000 cups. Fewer is possible, but the cost will be the same as for 1,000.
What logo file do you need?
A vector file: AI, EPS or outlined PDF. If you do not have one, ask a manager and we will help.
Are the inks safe for food packaging?
Yes, we print with water-based inks permitted for food packaging; our production is FSSC 22000 certified.
